It was acquired in a hostile takeover by Hallmark and Disney, homogenized and sold off piece by piece.” The wise words of an icon of modern pop culture, Lisa Simpson, the truth is fairytales have let down all of those little girls who grew up listening to magical and enchanted stories about true love and undying passion (although, if you ask me, romantic comedy movies are just a modern take on fairytales for grown ups). I’m not the only one with that opinion, and after princesses both fallen and twisted, I now present you with Weird Failure Tales.
Drawn by Brazilian tattoo artist MPAC, the idea behind these failure tales was to use some of Disney’s perennials characters like Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Snow White and Alice and show them under the influence of hardcore and tattoo culture. The girls are so under the influence they even have a pimp! You can also buy these prints as tshirts at the Weird Store.
